What's his name?

>I am no older than 18, the thread
Fuck off. CoD4 is patient zero of all the shitty "realistic military shooters" games we have today.
>>385589575
Suck my shit dude

50,000 people used to live here.

You are underaged, so no, I will not.
>>385589575
Cod doesn't claim to be realistic in gameplay.
Not to mention anyone who has played cod4 is atleast 18 (during the first year of release)
It's pretty comfy desu

When people talk about "realistic military shooters" they generally do not mean "realism" in the sense of simulation like in ArmA. They usually mean realism with regard to setting, weaponry etc. and CoD4 most definitely is that. It can be traced further back than CoD4 though, CoD1 was already doing it. However the real craze for that sort of game started with CoD4. Since then there has been little hope for another good well polished quake game or so being made, or any sort of shooter that isn't just another realistic military shooter. The closest we got to one of the top of my head was the latest Tribes, but that turned to shit and never recovered (and even at its height it was never considered a well polished triple A title).
CoD4 has ensured we will have decades of only realistic military shooters in the FPS genre from the big name devs.

>CoD is realistic
Jesus fuck

Que?

I'm 29 and I wanted to buy the remaster to get a little nostalgia, I thought it would be 20 bucks. BIG MISTAKE!!! In 2007 I played on cracked servers so Activison did not get a single cent from me.

I replay both of these every few months. Mirror's Edge especially. I've probably finished that game over 100 times.

Wait, are you complaining about a post NOT using Reddit's spaced formatting? Are we that far down the rabbithole?
>>385592279
>no spaces
What did he mean by this?
>>385589575
don't judge me, it's comfy desu

>cod4 is a defining game to him
I wish I could be under 20 and feel the same way.

Anon.....

Go to bed gramps.
>>385595010
But you didn't read my post anon, I was talking about the game being defining to him. I think everyone who games has played CoD4 at some point. It being some sort of epic defining game to them can only mean they were 15-18 when they played it having very little to compare it to.
>>385594079
It was conditioning anyway

Unironically complaining about non-reddit formatting. Amazing, so now we not only have people who reddit post, but also people who believe that it is the norm.
Soon we'll have an upboat extension/browser plugin that will be the norm to use as well to fully enjoy the 4reddit experience.
>>385595761
>fell for the >reddit spacing meme
>>385595828
But anon
Writing like this isn't a meme
It requires you to hard return twice
After every sentence
Just so you can create paragraphs in Reddit formatting
But over here it looks oddly out of place
As you only require one hard return
And most people even forego that
And just create a single blog
Because nobody is going to give you upwards arrows for how swell your post looks
>>385592279
Are you telling me you would rather have had me post it like this:

?
Because if so that is a pretty dumb suggestion
I've honestly lost count at how many times I've beaten it at this point.

When is rockstar going to make a game using the artstyle as shown on all their covers. Shit looks rad as fuck
>>385589369
Dishonored, but not the main story
instead the DLCs about Daud, he's just a better character in every way, all of his powers and weapons are better, and the missions and story are really good
world of warcraft
MGS2 in general, cuz of vr missions and snake tales
