I resub once per expansion to see the content and get my fill of things. The legion pre-launch event was pretty fun. If they made more content that gave that massively multiplayer feel I'd probably stick around more.

1: New server types were opened up. A lot of people would be happy with a 'core' server type that completely dumped all the convenience additions they've pumped the game full of like LFR, LFD, heirloom gear and cross realm bullshit. Or, say, progression servers.

2: Blizzard went back to adding content to the game instead of finding dumb ways of making people repeat the same content over and over.

No. No one actually does all of this. The bottom bar is completely unnecessary, they have auto-attack logged to a key, they have a rep meter, a threat meter (healers do not need this; I have never heard of healers pulling threat unless a tank fucked up going all the way back to classic), massive buff / debuff indicators which are not necessary, a live DPS meter, also not necessary, and TWO separate party trackers.

This UI is so awful it hurts.

I've been a bleeding edge progression raider since t2 vanilla, I have literally never seen a raiding guild that requires any addons other than DBM

every guild I've ever been in or talked to people who were in it said they only were required to have DBM, and as long as they could pull numbers, the raid leader didn't care what addons they used

an actual top level raid leader knows that a bunch of fucking addons doesn't make you good, it's best to let people play with a setup they're comfortable with

nowadays you don't even need DBM, it's all built into the game, fucking Kungen raids top end progression with the default ui and no addons but recount

I still play. Only reason is that you can buy wow tokens with farmed wow gold that gives you blizzard shop balance. So far ive gotten 10 tokens this month for $150 usd value. The cap is $350 and 10 stored wow tokens. Going to cap it then I wont have to pay for another blizzard game for years to come.

Its easy but you have to have a few professions. I could make a lot more than that if I leveled up the mop farm. Gem prices are still insane and the darkmoon faire card prices have skyrocketed, some days I'm making 200k a day selling gems and darkmoon faire cards. Basically get enchanting, alchemy, herbalism, mining, inscription and jewelcrafting to max level and its easy money. Not to mention the weekly gold missions. Takes about 3 to -5 alts to start seeing good gains. After that initial time you could play 30 minutes a day and make enough to buy 5-10 wow tokens a month. I could go on but this is a quick rundown. Also I would be capped already but i keep buying stuff on the blizzard store, already bought destiny 2 digital edition, overwatch, d3 expac and necro expac, hearstone presale for new expac, wow pets ect.

That feel when you lead a hardcore raiding guild for three years, then apply for a job as a manager despite having zero work experience outside of a couple call center jobs.

I just described my guild as if it was a job, and answered all of their questions about leadership and conflict resolution referencing actual guild drama bullshit I handled and the spreadsheets I made for gear distribution and inventory management. It worked.

Leading a raid guild is a job, and the skills actually translate well into the workforce (Assuming you were leading a genuine progression guild and not a casual guild)

lol, one of my fondest memories was doing the vampire boss shit in wotlk. The one that bites like a person and gives them damage buffs ten 30 seconds later they have to bite someone else. Our raid leader fucked up setting up the mod and we had to manually call out bites on the fly. Did it first try.

I was interested with artifacts back when Legion was first announced, just for the sheer idea of having more investment in my character to not quit so fast into an expansion and have the potential of getting some rotation changes/improvements after level cap.Then it became just passive shit, with a CD ability.Then it was grind to 20/20 after a month into the expansion.

I'm glad I quit before it became the retardation that it is now. The legendary situation is another topic all together. Timegating is just lazy, Ol' Lazy Eye Ion knows it.

I play it on and off, but on Bajheera's stream I think he said it best when he said that pvp is just a "pve damage fiesta" now. The ability to outplay people in like a 1vx scenario is gone now cause world pvp is insanely unbalanced and instanced pvp is capped stats. There's just no motivation anymore to try to get good or improve at the game cause there's no progression. Sometimes I still watch old pre-cata pvp videos for nostalgia tho and get feels.

The game's just too easy. They need to bring back the toughness to weed out the shitters for me to consider returning.

I like the Cenarion reputation bar that's there for no reason, no keybinds, two different kinds of raid addons, any kind of debuff bar when grid would show which debuffs you could despawn, 2 different mark of the wilds on the bar, the PVP Insignia, a few different types of mounts, etc. etc.
