A shame the devs can't balance for shit, the community is a bunch of sheep parroting whatever their ebin youtuber ecelebs say, levelig is a chore if you have to do it more than once, and every now and then you run into those bethesda quality moments even if it's not a bethesda game. Those are technically all criticisms you can throw at every mmo, but there's something about TESO that frustrates me more than others. Still an ok game, but I think FFXIV is more elegantly designed.

My dude, ESO has great environments and exploration. What's killing me is the solo pve experience being a faceroll. I can't even recommend it to friends since i'm only interested in the levelling portion of the game, which gets even easier in groups.

FFXIV has 24-man raids. They're just easier than savage-mode 8-man raids, which represent the hardest content in the game.
Even so, I disagree about the "more is better" mentality. I used to think that way when I was, like, 12, and that those raids needed bosses that were fucking colossal, but throwing zergs of players at zergs of monsters and huge bosses just isn't good design.

20-25 is a whole different ball game.

More things to track, more cooldowns to line up, etc etc.

Even with less people, the mechanics in boss fights are much more frequent and less forgiving. You have constant movement and dodging and you cant afford to carry anyone.

In WoW raids you have more time to stand around and free cast and even if you eat a mechanic, most of the time it wont kill you. Even if it does, it doesn't matter because you don't mean as much to a group of 25 as you do to a group of 8.
