I'm enjoying Zero greatly (though the amount of shade that gets thrown at the SSS gets tiring at times), and I'm really hoping for a translation announcement for Ao.

I'll probably move on to Cold Steel when it releases since Ao won't be available for the foreseeable future.

Playing through the first TiTS right now, getting kind of burned out. I went all in and spoke to every NPC/read everything after any event and it fucked me up. I was planning on playing through the rest in prep for Cold Steel but it's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

I found the gameplay simplistic and the aesthetic unappealing. Mashing one button to kill stuff feels moronic and something about the movement just makes the game feel really crude and almost amateurish, I can't quite explain it.

I assume you didn't set it to Nightmare difficulty? All Ys games are meant to be played on that difficulty.

As a falcom trails shill I wish I could like Ys. I wont call trails a huge step up, but I also couldn't understand what people saw in Ys. I didn't stick with it that long but the gameplay didn't interest me, and I'm someone who had fun hopping around for 20 minutes in the first town of dragons dogma before enjoying hacknslashing some goblins.
