By the way, it's more of an old RPG with permadeath on, and because you don't have anything else to do but wander and fight you're bound to die eventually.
Like in Diablo with permadeath, you just try to get good drops before the enemies obliterate your underleveled ass, but unlike Diablo, you can't stop the enemies from going up in power while you stay with your +2 STR sword because the corpses and bosses keep throwing +999 INT wands at you.

I once got a Dragoon up to lvl 96 with only HP Boost and Frenzy, which I found amusing, tho.

Fallout Shelter is the only thing with staying power on my phone.
I've gotten nearly every weapon and outfit, hovering around 190 dwellers, with a whole generation of level 1s bred from level 50 maxed out parents in training.

Constantly maxed out on caps as well. Mainly bottlenecked by legendary junk drops, since the only long-term goals I could have since picking the game up in April are now "get every dweller a legendary outfit and weapon" followed distantly by "evict all dwellers who didn't have 10 endurance and heavy wasteland armor on from level 1 to 50 and replace them with a new generation of purebreds with maxed out stats."

Every other mobile game I try is a soulless cash grab, trying to charge you for basic gameplay shit in the middle of playing.

If anyone knows any good RPGs that let you set up characters, parties, bases, etc, hit me up with its name.

I like Shelter well enough, but I don't think a mobile game can handle basebuilding right. I found out over these few months of playing that what I REALLY like is making a coherent character. Like giving the guy in the 3 str, 4 stam power armor a hydrant sledge and a 50% damage resistance pet and sending them out on a quest on their own knowing they'll only need a handful of stimpack because they're the Hulk.

I want more stat picking and gear management, but I'd also love some skills, talents, etc to manage.

Plus, the actual wasteland combat was the worst part of the game, imo.
Room to room, slowly clearing, clicking shiny things, etc. Gets super boring. I'd like to see that spiced up.
