FFX is pretty good and should be cheap since it's just a port, really. P5 can be a turnoff because of the weeb factor, but it's actually a pretty good JRPG.

I've got it and I think it's kind of bad.

I enjoyed it for like a few hours, but the charm of the game quickly wore off and all I was left with was a knockoff Souls game that just feels convoluted without capturing any of the atmosphere or story that I loved about the other games. The combat feels alright and fairly satisfying, but from what I played before I got bored the enemy variety feels kind of lackluster.

I like the idea of it being set in ancient Japan with the whole Eastern mythology idea, but I don't think it's as interesting as it could be.

I've just finished P5 yesterday, but that was my exact thought also. It has weeb elements which might turn some players off, like some of the monsters make no fucking sense from a western perspective (like the dick on the chariot), but I've got used to it.

Bloodborne has pretty much no story/exposition. There's backstory and lore and all that, but it's really obscure and hard to piece together. The appeal of Bloodborne and all Souls games is the gameplay, level design, and atmosphere. If you want to explore intertwining levels while slicing up monsters in a spooky atmosphere then check it out.

How are the Dragon Quest games compared to FF?

Went back to BB for two weeks after playing DS3 for over half a year
>absolutely loved it on my first two playthroughs
>absolutely hate it now
>combat feels way too floaty
>can't run around enemies when locked on
>roll distance feels off
>general bullshit moves on certain enemies
>even with the DLC, too few weapon variety, a lot of fun weapons locked after some of the hardest bosses in the game
>pvp is an abhorent clusterfuck with the PS4 netcode, let alone 40% of players having a subpar internet connection
>even co-oping is a pain as hosts are literally slide-showing through the level at times

In DS3 there is so much more variety, I can play a one-shot sorcerer invader build, a try hard dual strength-build or a pure faith medic-build for co-op. The fashion is also much better, fuck ten different variations of the same edgelord trench coat

A heads up: they call it endings, but they are rather chapters. You only finished like third of the game. There's still much ahead. The endings doesn't require anything to unlock. Just keep on playing and you'll eventually see everything.

You might feel that route B is a chore, but route C and D after that will make you forget about it.

And try to avoid any Nier related discussion if you don't want to get spoiled any further.

Soulsborne games are all about gameplay and atmosphere. There is a story and it's cool, but you won't really experience it without a little effort.

Bloodborne is basically an incredibly well adapted classic Lovecraftian descent-into-madness. If you enjoy that kind of thing it's almost perfect.
