there's two maps incoming, radically different than the norm 3 we have now.

Map that's coming in August is some forest level with a neutral creature in the center. The team that gets the kill on this thing gets a teleporter to the center. Map that's in development is some sky map where the launchpads found on the airships is the main method of transportation.

Also, day/night variations of the existing three maps are in works, with slightly different paths/creature spawn points.

I've tried out a number of characters and some bit matches but the sheer number of status effects and upgrade tree options for each character seems to make it hard to account for what your enemy is doing and what direction you should spec into, on top of all the options you have. It's a bit overwhelming.

That's what I've been doing. At least getting to know one character's abilities if you were to spec in on direction versus the other. The cow king dude for example can remove his speed buff to gain extra HP and stamina, so I assume its best to upgrade his spear into the cripple AOE so you have a way to chase down enemies or slow them if outlasting them isn't going to be an option.

Liking this game so far, I have my doubts. I've gotten sick of LoL/DotA/Overwatch primarily because of the community/reliance on team. Mostly a fighting game player, so getting a bad team and doing well myself is infuriating and doing poorly and winning feels unsatisfying.
