I have a heavily overclocked 970, ac unity runs really well, although I prefer to lock it to 30fps and run it 100% maxed with AA and all.
At 1080p maxed (except for soft shadows) I get around 50-60fps, but mostly 60fps. I also played it at launch and I remember it performing much worse.
Keep in mind I have a 5GHz 7700k and 16gb of 3600MHz RAM. I heard the game is quite CPU intensive.
