Banjo Kazooie is an uninteresting, generic collectathon full of boring stages and completely obnoxious sound effects. It's not a good game, the only good thing about it is its soundtrack, which is frankly stellar especially considering the otherwise mediocre game it comes from. You only like it because you liked it when you were younger, which is exactly what it was designed to do - appeal to young kids - and this, above anything else, is the reason for Yooka-Laylee's well-deserved failure
