Thing is, it's not really hard to remake Blood Omen if you know what to keep in mind. You don't need to fuck with time travel, the Hylden, Raziel or the Elder God shit. It's a fairly straight-forward game about a dude who starts out as a vampire and eventually murders his way into realizing that it's actually better than being a human.

Done, get Simon Templemann, follow the general structure, take a look at how the gameplay looks like and repeat that while fixing what didn't work. If you fuck this up you don't deserve to be in gamedev.

I've yet to play BO2 because I didn't play BO1, but loved every moment of SR1, SR2 and LoK:D.
