Which is better, /v/?
>>
>>385516146
point lookout is the best dlc that's ever been in a 3D fallout game. but new vegas has better DLCs overall. mothership zeta and operation anchorage are very poor.
>>
>FNV:
Dead Money = Good.
Old World Blues = Good.
Honest Hearts = Good.
Lonesome Road = Bad.

>Fallout 3:
Point Lookout = Good
Brotherhood of Steel = Good, added end-game stuff to Capital Wasteland
The Pitt = Ok
Mothership Zeta = Ok
Anchorage = Bad.
>>
>>385516371
Operation Anchorage is so fucking broken.
>>
ttw so you can do both
>>
Top 3 DLC are:
>Point Lookout
>Dead Money
>Honest Hearts

cool meme taste my dudes

Why do people like point lookout again?

The swamp was an awfully boring area, all the enemies were bullet sponges and not fun to fight, and I honestly can't remember the story of point lookout.

It's just a blur of getting off a boat, a house exploding and then a fairground at the end.

>didn't have time to animated the final bosses face and one of the most important lore characters in the whole game so his face is just a mask that doesn't blink or move.
>the whole DLC is just a linear trek with re-used enemies
>>
>>385516371
Point lookout is a turd.
>>
>>385517473
His face is animated you just can't see it under the mask
>>
>>385517570
It's not.

>His face is a unique model linked to his unique breathing mask and differing greatly from other human character models (i.e. he doesn't blink, he has a unique hairstyle, and his texture is more detailed).

His whole head is just a non-animated unique model. The devs explained they didn't have time to animate it. The said the whole expansion was just a rushed job because they were under contract from Bethesda to make 4 main DLCs.
>>
>>385517335
one of the best fight sequences gamebryo ever mustered, a merchant with a 100 repair skill exploit, coastal grotto/plik's safari, the mushroom trip, perks that are actually useful in vanilla, interesting characters, badass weapons.
>>
>>385516146
I loved Point Lookout, liked The Pitt and Anchorage, hated Zeta because the game crashed everytime I tried to access the DLC and can't remember Brotherhood Of Steel.
Haven't played NV DLC's, but I'm hoping for the same quality as Lookout.
>>
>>385517570
You're a dumbass.
>>
>>385517918
Goddamn I fucking hate Todd
>>
>>385516146
New Vegas for me, I liked most of the DLC's I have niggles for most but less than FO3's DLC I liked both as a whole aside from Zeta, and I never got the hype behind PL but I think they both had decent support. Better than 4's at least which aside from Automatron which was basically just an officialized, gimped version of an ancient FO3 and NV mod, and Far Harbor was just kinda well shit. (Even if I shamefully admit I liked building settlements)

>>385516426
This, especially if you don't have anything patching the T-51 winterized to have normal health since it's pretty much god durability otherwise.

>>385516371
I swear I'm the only person who doesn't like Point Lookout, just never found it that fun, area never really pulled me in and the only things I really liked were Calvert, Desmond, and Chinese sub quest. Basically what >>385517335 said.
>>
I wish I could get into New Vegas, but it's just so ridiculously ugly.

>game full of regular and exotic guns
>end up making a punchy character in every game

I'm still a bit mad they didn't bring in specific vats targeting for melee in the 3d games.
Crit punching fuckers in the eyes or groins was the best.
>>
>>385518591

You'll get over your depression one day, anon.
>>
Literally all of the Fallout DLCs were boring and completely misunderstood what makes Fallout fun, besides Brotherhood of Steel and Point Lookout.

So Fallout 3 I guess.
>>
>>385518848
Yeah I totally think of killing inbred hillbillies in shitty swamps when I hear fallout.

>melee/unarmed can just fucking teleport everywhere in FO4 with vats
what the hell were they thinking? That shit is the most busted perk ever.
>>
>>385518921
New Fallout is fun because it lets you explore a dangerous and interesting world filled with interesting things to find. Point Lookout has been the only Fallout DLC imo that actually made an enjoyable world to explore.
>>
Dead Money had the best writing. It was probably the best DLC overall just because of that.
>>
>>385519039
To each their own. That said yeah for the most part they haven't really been all that interesting, only one I found slightly interesting to explore was OWB, and that was mostly just to find whatever silly meme gadget was around the next corner really.
>>
I still can't believe Fallout 4 turned out the way it did.

It just sucks so fucking much. Still awe-struck how much it sucked on turd.
>>
>>385519198
>Make melee build
>Can't participate in many side quests because they expect you to have a gun
>Fucking entire elevator section shooting supermutants with three NPCs
>I'm just crouching in the corner like a cuck because I don't have ranged weaponry
12/10
>>
>>385519694
Yeah they really should of put throwing weapons in that work under melee for when that shit happens. It's not like followers make up for that either in Vanilla because most of them can't hit the broad side of a barn, and spend most of their time on the ground waiting for them to heal since they never take cover and shit. (Except Gage but that's because he runs on Raider's AI string apparently)
>>
>there are people in this thread who put honest hearts above anything

Yeah I totally want to wander around this Earth-vagina that has nothing interesting whatsoever, instead of just going straight to the burned man, killing him, and then leaving
>>
NV imo.

>Honest Hearts
>Dead Money
>Old World Blues
>Gun Runners Arsenal
>Lonesome Road

3:
>Point Lookout
>The Pitt
>Broken Steel
>Mothership Zeta

Neck yourself my dude.

Honestly though I just find Zion pretty comfy, especially after Dead Money. The fact it has my two favourite fallout characters (Joshua and Randall) plus Randall's armour and rifle only makes it better.

>GOD TIER
Dead Money
Old World Blues
>GOOD TIER
Point Lookout (level scaling prevents it from being higher up)
Honest Hearts (no Legion option and feels rushed)
>OKAY TIER
The Pitt (factions are lackluster and the whole thing, like HH, feels rushed)
Lonesome Road (world design and atmosphere are top notch, but that doesn't counter the crap writing and Operation Anchorage style combat focus)
>BAD TIER
Broken Steel (exists only because Bethesda are greedy assholes)
>SHIT TIER
Operation Anchorage (is slightly better with TTW because of the combat changes made in FNV; only exists because the Outcasts needed something to do)
>AYY LMAO TIER
Mothership Zeta.
>>
>>385517103
You can beat honest hearts in like 5 minutes if you want to, and the world is pretty small.
>>
>Point Lookout
Good DLC
>Dead Money
Good DLC

Looks like it's a draw, one worthwhile dlc each.

>want to play NV
>need to install mods to get the game running smooth
>>
>>385523095
Mothership Zeta really is just an AYY LMAO, there's fucking nothing going on and it doesn't fit with anything else at all. I think it was basically a big joke/explotation of the low iq retards who make up the core of Fallout 3's fanbase (not saying everyone who likes fallout 3 is retarded, just that people who worship it and get triggered by anyone who prefers NV are).
>>
>>385523669
Obviously you can slow it down but there's not much incentive too, just "gotta do all the side quests, bro".
>>
>>385516371
This basically.
>>
>>385523857
>bethesda
>pc port
They can't keep getting away with it.
>>
>>385524008
That's the same with Fallout NV entirely though.
>>
>>385525221
Not to nearly the same degree, you have to do several relatively long missions no matter which path you pick, even going the kill everyone route will take a while.
>>
>>385523310
Why would you know how to beat Honest Hearts in five minutes if you've never played it before? Not an argument.
>>
>>385525385
Don't get so triggered, fanboy. Im just saying that most of the content is entirely uneccesary to finishing the story and you have to go out of your way to experience it. Thats not always a bad thing but in this case I think that its just too much that way and highlights how simple the story is.
>>
>>385516424
>Honest Hearts = Good.
>Lonesome Road = Bad.
>Mothership Zeta = Ok
how can one man have such shit taste
>>
>>385526328
How is Mothership Zeta anything other than ok? Its just a silly little thing they stuck in, nothing particularly good or bad about it apart from the fact that most people paid full price for it.
>>
>>385516424
>Mothership Zeta = Ok
you mean shit, right? RIGHT?
>>
>>385525379
Sure but there is no incentive to do sidequests or explore apart from fun.
>>
>>385526583
Yeah but the game shouldn't be 90% side quests if it is advertised as being centered around a major plot.
