Dark souls 3, 1 is more about "special techniques" and 2 is shit.

DS3 rewards you for being good, learning timings etc.

It's the most "git gud" one I might say.

Fighting games maybe? You're not going to get like RPG type progression, but your skill at the game itself is your progression.

Maybe Rainbow Six Vegas 2, since you're always earning XP as you get kills and increasing ACES ranks to unlock new weapons and your main rank unlocks camo and costume parts.
