Sorry I don't fully understand your question. Netplay is played on a computer using a gamecube emulator, not on a gamecube/wii. If you have a computer you can play. Depending on your ping to opponent it can play very well.

get one of these, the mayflash is just as good as the official. then you download a driver and you can use your old gamecube controller on your computer.

Then you want to go to tools->start netplay->connect

choose traversal server option in drop down at the top of that window.
then you put the provided code into the host code box.
