Interesting timing then. I don't mind as long as the game has legit horror elements. Fallout 1 and 2 also had horror elements imo at least. The music can get pretty spooky sounding.
The original Thief trilogy. The Cathedral in 1 and pic related in Deadly Shadows are ridiculously spooky.
Koudelka's an RPG that was marketed on its horror elements.
Sanitarium is a point and click adventure with horror elements like body horror and hallucinations and stuff.
Catherine's a platforming puzzle game with horror themes.
Alice madness returns is an action platformer with horror and mature story themes

Upper Cathedral Ward was almost 2spooky. Entering the main hall and seeing the werewolf dangling from the chandelier, then breaking it, putting out all light was absolutely horrifying.
