Timeshock has the best physics and best graphics, while TPA has a great collection of real tables without spending 20 hours downloading individual packs and getting 8 versions of Virtual Pinball set up.

Honestly, emulated pinball is still shit. Timeshock is 20 years old, and still the best way to play pinball at home without a cab. TPA has lots of dumb shit that's unrealistic, like the ease of loops, or stopping the ball on your paddles instantly.

I wish TPA wasn't as pricy if I want to buy all the seasons.
At least I live near an arcade that gets a new machine every now and then. They recently got a Ripleys, alongside a South Park and Simpsons Pinball Party.

Do you mean simultaneous multiplayer instead of taking turns? There's a few older games, like Joust, where players stand on opposite ends of a table. NBA Fastbreak has an interesting linked play mode where you can go head-to-head on two separate machines.
