In the end, the only SA myth I actually genuinely ended up believing were the pigman, CJ's mom's ghost, the aliens in the desert, the ghost girl in the well, the ghost cars, that one chainsaw murder by the road, the shark that auto-kills CJ, and the game stuttering when it reaches a certain time.

It's been so long I don't remember. Well, I do recall it feeling very surreal when I wandered into the countryside and ended up at some Pizza Co. in a small town.
However, I tended to be easily spooped by certain things in games back then.

Yeah, I remember something like this too. LS was all sunshine and roses, but Chapter 2 in the Badlands left a strange impact. Be it the muddy, moody gfx effects or wobbleing textutres/lights, IDK. The first mission where you go up the hill to the hut to murder that one guy took place at night during thunderstorm for me. Very atmopsheric.
