Why did it stop growing? Is the moba fad finally over?

majority of people are fucking idiots. dota caters to those who are willing to put in effort to gain knowledge and skill. most of the game that are popular are easy to play and easy to learn. dota punishes stupidity harshly. people likely tried and quit it, if they even tried at all.

There is probably a limit to how many people are interested. Same reason CSGO, having been able to break it into television with success, still can't boost player base over Dota 2.
