Did you just miss the entire hype train of MvC2? 30+ is standard fare these days and only accepted because its harder to keep porting 3D than copy pasting 2D. Make the majority of the characters unique, a decent sized pool of viable chars, more than 5 recolors, and you can have as many as you want.

Roster wise, do you really need Black and Bardock when you have Goku? And no fucking clue how you got 3 different buus + 16 yet not a single Ginyu force member or person from Frieza's gang. Isn't Chi-Chi the shit dumpster of DBZ+? Is she even playable in the xenoverse games?

What if Yamacha's MAX meter super is a Saibamen lunging at him from the opposite side of the map, which would be behind the opponent.

If it grabs the opponent, more Saibamen latch on to them and they take severe damage in a catastrophic flashy explosion.

If the opponent dodges by maybe jumping, so that the Saibamen keeps moving forward, it can actually grab Yamacha, exploding, seeing the signature pose we all know and love, and taking some damage from it.

Marvel 3, across almost ALL releases (Vanilla & Ultimate on both systems, Ultimate Vita, and the PS4/XBone re-release; couldn't find PC sales) sold just barely over 3 million units. Xenoverse 2 between just PS4/XBone (again couldn't find PC sales) has sold 1.41 Million.

Take into account that Marvel 3 had a huge hype train after 10 years of thinking the series ended at 2, Infinite having negative hype in all ways except the solid gameplay base (which doesn't help a crossover fighter that has shit fanservice), and DBFZ having huge hype on top of crossover appeal with fighting game fans that never really touched the annual DBZ releases, and that's 100% bullshit. I literally looked up sales figures for the first time in my life for this.

As for EVO, Capcom is going to put money into their games' scenes (doubly so if Marvel/isney put money into Infinite's scene as well) so of course it'll be at EVO for years. That said, DBFZ has the best chance of any anime fighter in a long, long time to have a consistent tenure at EVO, between the likely scene that is created and Bamco cash.

Yes, while this is true, it doesn't mean he hates Goku. Goku's crying is the only thing with a strong enough emotional trigger to effect Broly. We aren't going to see SSJ2 Goku or SSJ2 Vegeta. The characters are in their most iconic look.
