For me? None. I was real depressed fir a year after a breakup and being a fat fuck. The games I played were a blur and the even thinking of the games now is uncomfortable. It wasn't til I started getting my personal shit and health together before I could enjoy games.

Shantae pretty much saved my life. The series is so fun, and charming, and likeable. As is the character. You can't help but smile.

If you don't mind weeb games, Sakura Wars 5 managed to cheer me up pretty well actually.

TES with enough mods. I've been playing Oblivion for 5 days straight. I go to bed at 3am, wake up at 8-9, and turn the game back on. Repeat. There are so many mods for this game I think I can continue like this for the next couple months.

Playing games is arguably one of the worst things you can do when depressed, at least in my experience. Take some relaxing walks in nature, get vitamin D, light exercise, drink a lot of water and reduce sugar and caffeine intake.

If you do want to play a game, do it. Depression often makes people forget why they enjoy things and reduces impulse to do them, so if you have an impulse to play a game go for it. Just don't look for one as a distraction.
