What's a better Oregon Trail like? This or The Banner Saga?

Because honestly the space jam game bores me but so does the turn based strategy in Banner Saga. But I'm curious for the narrative in both.

Weird how Oregon Trail has almost a tiny sub genre now.
>>
>>385450305
I enjoy both a lot. You should probably go with Pyre first, since Banner Saga is a trilogy and still isn't finished. (Third and last game got kickstarted recently)

Also archers are OP, so use them.

Generally go for armor first on enemies until your character can do decent health damage

And remember that your health and damage are directly tied (which is why you should boost your damage dealers' health)

And lemme reiterate. Max armor break first, its basically mandatory and takes like one level

I loved Bastion and Transitor, but this game isn't grabbing me the same way.

I don't consider the visual novel part to be gameplay, and there is too much downtime between rites.

The Rites themselves don't seem difficult, though I'm only on the second-to-last difficulty. It seems fairly shallow to me so far, and the AI doesn't seem smart enough to adapt.

I love the art, and Supergiant has always been good with worldbuilding and characters.

I think the engine is showing its age as well. I agree that it plays like a flash game. The game feels like I'm playing transistor in the sense of how object and characters are placed in the world and the movement.

Lots and lots of decision making throughout. Some of them very difficult. That's the gameplay of the Oregon trail segments. It mostly has a bearing on your teams stats for the next rite, and the occasional chances at items or experience (both sparse in the game)
>>
>>385452283
I just bumrushed them with Pamitha with stamina/speed upgrade. I beat a 10 Titan Star match with just her essentially.
_ae with her no start-up upgrades can do two jumps straight to the pyre. Bertrude can do that too if you remember exactly how far she lands with jumps
If you have Gillman or Volfred in defense, they should never score on you.

Also, Rukey is useful in every scenario.

Hedwyn was the first guy I freed, so I have no opinion on him, will see next playthrough
>>
>>385453140

>>385453140
>I don't consider the visual novel part to be gameplay
Well Oregon Trail is literally by definition not a visual novel, and Pyre's segments have decision making just like the Oregon trail.
>The Rites themselves don't seem difficult, though I'm only on the second-to-last difficulty.
Because the second to last difficult is Normal(Easy) easy is braindead mode for the journalists
>It seems fairly shallow to me so far, and the AI doesn't seem smart enough to adapt.
It picks up as you go. AI start introducing tactics like throwing you the ball to you to make you vulnerable and then tackling you with their aura, faking you out with passing and starting the throw animation, etc. As well as match specific conditions like a tree man who makes roots close in the battlefield really small, or a bunch of other people who cheat and modify the game. In some way

>I think the engine is showing its age as well. I agree that it plays like a flash game. The game feels like I'm playing transistor in the sense of how object and characters are placed in the world and the movement.

The first fights in the game make you get used to having lots of Varl at your disposal. You'll get blown away if you play with the Strand caravan the same way you play with the Varl caravan.
Then: the turn order is extremely important. You want to position your units in such a way so that the enemy that will act next won't be able to reach a member of your party.
After that, you attack that guy. By the next turn that he gets, he'll be useless.
About attacking, it's vital that you know when to attack Armour and when to attack Strength. In general, you want to at least chip away half of an enemy's armour before attacking his health. Also, Strength is both ATK damage AND health. The more a unit is hurt, the less damage it can output. This goes for you and the enemy,
Also, don't start killing enemies until all of them are injured and/or useless. Killing an enemy won't give out a double turn, it will make the next enemy act. There's always going to be alternate turns.
If,say, you killed most enemies, but two tanky units were left untouched, while your 6-man team is all injured, those two units are going to rip your team apart. This wil happen:
Hero1 > Enemy1 > Hero2 > Enemy2 > Hero3 > Enemy1 > Hero4 > Enemy2 > Hero5 >Enemy1 > Hero6
Your ideal situation will be a battle in which all enemies are too injured to deal any health damage to you, while you will be mostly unharmed.

I do like the visual novel parts of the game, but it feels like it's too much. Bastion and Transistor were packed with gameplay so it was disappointing to see how much less of it there appears to be in Pyre.

I just beat the game and why the fuck was it never explained in the game lore why every fucking opposing team cheats and how the fuck it's even allowed? What's from stopping a team from blocking their pyre with some shit like that one team did, only reason they lost was because they half assed it. Seriously, the level with the moving red blobs, the enemy team literately had one of those camping above their pyre the entire game, what the fuck is this shit?

I liked the rest of the game just fine, but god damn did this one aspect piss me off.
>>
Their previous games actually had really cool combat in my opinion. One was just an action game, one was turn-based. Sports is a genre too, but it really just looks pretty gay. I'll buy it on sale probably, unlike Transistor that I bought on release.
>>
I like that they try something new with every game.

>>
>>385454050

This. You can spot the posting styles super easy.
>>
>>385454124
There are legitimate concerns to be had about the game, and not just gameplay.
>>
>>385453437

I don't know what 'Oregon trail by definition not being a visual novel' has to do with Pyre. I will say that interacting with characters in Pyre is not something I find enthralling in large doses, though I do enjoy the art, story, and characters.

I think I will bump the difficulty up at your suggestion, as I haven't even come close to losing a Rite yet and I've been through quite a few; could be due to being to early in the game as you say.

To clarify my final point; the game engine Supergiant is using for Pyre appears to be the same one they used for Transistor and Bastion; this makes sense as they already made an engine so why take dev time to create a new one if this one works?

However, when doing the rites the movement, art, arenas, and objects placed in them have a very transitor/bastion feel to them as well as the movement. It doesn't feel different enough to me and makes me feel like I'm playing a valve game in the sense that the engine is the same even if modified and has the same kind of feel and tendencies.
>>
>>385453789
I just finished getting all the achievements in the first game, I got a bit carried away with the explanation.
Anyway, the last tip: experiment a bit and learn how aggro works, you can use it to your advantage. Also, the AI is coded to "ignore" abilities like Stone Wall and Rain of Arrows (the arrow trap).
This means that they won't try to avoid them. You can use this to force them to take damage by manipulating their pathing.

Because of how every character can essentially exit the game at any moment, the amount of dialogue/comments most of them (aside from Volfred/Minstrel) have to make for the events is sadly a bit limited. It's no that glaring since each character has his own individual story and some unique interactions with other teams if you keep them, and I understand it would be a ridiculous amount of text if they accounted for each possibility, but depending on how you face and free, some characters become almost absent in the later half of the game.

Until Volfred joins, the backstory and worldbuilding is a tad too slow, making it a bit hard to care about what is going on or supposed hardships (they do a great job in the later half).
The game should have a jukebox mode in main menu, so I can listen to every track and every Rite song version.

I really think that manually flying over and over in the later half of the game is kinda pointless, you know the scenery and it does not change.

I have bigger complaints about the Rite gameplay, but that is for another post

>>385455242

Mediocre A.I with a tendency to get stuck in environmental obstacles a tad too often (in the lava pits arena, they keep dying in their own) . Only thing they are good at, even in highest difficulties is immediate accuracy when they throw ball into pyre.
After you get to 2nd level awakening, most of your characters can get abilities that start breaking the game in half(and the items given by the crystal are way fucking good). Like, the enemy just can never keep up with Pamitha, _Ae can jump into the enemy pyre in 2 seconds, gilmore covers a ridiculous raius with his aura trail etc.
Many of the titan starts offer no real challenge, just extend the game or make your opponent hurt you more. And even the quickness, presence buffs etc don't change your strategy that much.

Also, the Harpy and Bog witch team is a waste of time. I know lore wise it makes sense they do not have a varied team, but it makes facing them far easier.

I have a few other issues, but they are personal nitpicking.
>>
>>385455913
If you assign one guy to stay always by the pyre, it's pretty easy to jump between two of your party members.
You can try some basic tricks, like Hodariel/Bertrude unleashing big ass aura to clear enemies near orb(flashing variant) and you immediately hop to one of your faster guys (gilmore, rukey) and rush towards the ball. Enemies are either dead or jumping and you can probably outmaneuver third guy.
>>
How do demons put their helmets on?
>>
For those that played, how much do you think it's worth? I don't really want to pay 20 for something quality wise below Transistor.
>>
>>385455952
>Only thing they are good at, even in highest difficulties is immediate accuracy when they throw ball into pyre.
Right definitely not throwing the ball to you, or exceeding in shootouts, or faking you out, etc.
>After you get to 2nd level awakening, most of your characters can get abilities that start breaking the game in half
You'd think so, but outside of Pamela's really most of them still take quite a bit of work. Even Bertrude's which sounds ridiculous doesn't end up being a major change.
You also start losing your team and will likely be forced to play disadvantaged comps in the later half
>Many of the titan starts offer no real challenge, just extend the game or make your opponent hurt you more. And even the quickness, presence buffs etc don't change your strategy that much.
Full titan is meme tier for people who want to play ultra hardcore. Use enough that you're challenged but not totally pissed off, that's the point.

I had a ton of trouble with the harpies because people I had left didn't deal with air play well.

>Right definitely not throwing the ball to you, or exceeding in shootouts, or faking you out, etc.
Funny you mention throwing the ball, the A.I also cannot handle it for shit. Also, the flash aura casting you do should let you win most shout outs.
>You'd think so, but outside of Pamela's really most of them still take quite a bit of work.
I don't think so, I know so. Like, the only character I did not think is that abusable(either easy to score with or defend against everything) is Tizzo, and it's probably because I missed something
Bertrude is already an amazing defender wit hher area casting ,going through shit is cherry on top. And if you know her jump arc, slither/jump.score is piss easy.
>Full titan is meme tier for people who want to play ultra hardcore. Use enough that you're challenged but not totally pissed off, that's the point.
That is the problem, not challenged by an config. The fight is not really harder since opponents cannot keep up, just lasts longer.

>I had a ton of trouble with the harpies because people I had left didn't deal with air play well.
If you leave one person right next to the pyre, they should never be able to score. Other teams can sometime throw the ball and snipe you with aura cast or do a very fast jump you do not expect, harpies are very predictable
>>
>>385457041
>Funny you mention throwing the ball, the A.I also cannot handle it for shit

>>Enemy switches to a fast enemy and quickly tries to get the drop on me
If they abandon the shoutout with one character and start with another, even if he is one range, you have tie to shout and jumo over whatever they throw you. Hardly something threatening

>Ok we're done here.
Right. The fact that you are trying to tell me 'you think so', as If I did not finish the game abusing said characters and their abilities already is hilarious.

>>
>>385457396
If you have anyone with a decent aura parked near the pyre (Jonariel is the easit for that, but Volfred plus sapling works), they will almost always fly when near, so you can block them easily.
If they do not, they die.
So yeah. Only easier team to deal with is the Bog Witches

Try blocking an AI harpy with Volfred.

Jodariel is at least possible, but her jump is slow and covers a lot of area.

That requires a two-man defensive team that's wrecked if the harpy decides to tackle, or if you lose a man from pyredunking last round.

Hedwyn has an ability that banishes people who he jumps into.

I just don't want to miss cool story moments by beating certain teams.

Each enemy team has a special thing happen in their Liberation Rite. The Dissidents make the orb go crazy when it's not held, the Chastity get a bullshit random pyre boost, the Essence are FUCKING FILTHY CHEATERS, etc.
>>
>>385458696
While a player would easily come to dunk with the harpies to force me out, the A.I almost never does that.
With Jondariel/X for example, I auracast with Jondariel till one harpy gets close, then I switch and jump when they get near. if I kill one or two of them ,I can go to the offense.Since they dash instead of running constantly, fast characters can make a pretty good beeline to their pyre.

Man it's going to be a pain to find the credit song on youtube. Anyway, here's how it went for me, I barely cared for the plan so I send them in the order of how I felt would be best.

1. Rucky
2. Hedwyn
3. Sister of Harpy
4. Ti'Zo
5. Sir Gilman
6. Harpy
7. Bertruge because Sandalwood didn't have enough fucking experience to be release.
7. Reader

Xae found her happiness with the dog boy, as well as Jol' with the demon guy - I think it was the better choice and the credit information agrees. Bertruge offered her position to me, and she said she had no reason to really go to the Commonwealth and I succumbed. Sandalwood will use his mind and influence to make the hell a better place.

Sandra appearing after her crude ending bio and jesting with you one last time was so heartwarming.

Overall I enjoyed the game but wish there were more interesting momentslike the one with the witch and the titan sign which will influence the story and gameplay. The rites themselves grew boring after a while but I've enjoyed them none the less. The final battle was suprisingly easy, seing as I was a fast-character-rush player and I only had Xae with me for that. The demon, who I didn't really care for and found annoying, was the only hard part as he danced with his giant aura. I played on hard, without the titan stars.

This was my playthrough
Played reader as war orphan who wants to get friends back and change things. Focus is on plan first personal feelings second.
>Rukey gets released first to set the ground work for everyone else with his considerable resources, barker eventually forgets about him and there's no big deal.
>Jodariel is next because all of the orphans she took in are now possible allies, plus she's got fuck tons of experience and tactical knowledge.
>Edwin fulfilled his vow to his other two friends, reader accepted head on that he could not return and never expected to be able to. He is crucial for a bloodless revolution as he keeps people in mind first and foremost.
>Gae is next, you can't take one of the books with you, fortunately she knows it by heart.
>Gertrude goes in to produce all of the materials they're gonna need and provide further insight into the plan.
After letting pamitha duke it out with her sister and gilman go to town on his old crew, the conflict between the harps was far from over but gilman had reclaimed his honor. After a final confrontation against his old superior during a liberation rite, gilman earns his freedom.
And finally, Volfred had stayed as long as he could to oversee things down in exile land, but it was time for him to head back up and ensure the plan went right. After a confrontation with Oralech, he offers to let him go if he will carry the plan through. Oralech refuses and is banished. Volfred ensures the plan goes perfect and topples the commonwealth without any bloodshed, as well as works for the rest of his life establishing the new order.
Ti'zo stays in his homeland taking care of the wagon and his brother imps, Pamitha remains to seek reconciliation with her sister which she eventually sort of gets.
The reader sacrifices his freedom so that they might still have theirs. And gets a qt ghost waifu as a reward.
Years after he ascends to be with the scribes, becoming the first of the new stars.

Best end.

>>385476000
Tizo is fast, has a strong aura, and if you build him correctly can take out 2-3 enemies and allow immediate teleportation for slower, stronger characters like Jodi.

Plus he's one of the best air defenders along with Pam and Hedwyn.
>>
>>385476146
In arenas with lots of environmental hazards, sapling can cripple teams.
Also, with his personal item, you can go for a goal with well timed teleports(aka, whenever A.I does something that wastes staminal, teleport)
>>
>>385476146
Tossing a fast sapling on the orb immediately will let you take out enemies with aura casts without having to worry about them rushing you. Plus, if you can calculate his blink distance perfectly, you can hit the pyre from crazy far away.

Wait a second...

There are eight scribes, right? Are Savages descendants of Khaylmer?

Why would Volfred want someone to fill a Savage mask? And isn't Fae's mask the same as Hedwyn?
>>
>>385476860
>fae

Who?
>>
>>385476860
Rukey calls Hedwyn out on taking Fae along for that exact same reason.

She represents Rope-Caller, which isn't a bad thing for the plan: The original goal was to all 8 scribes represented, and having a 9th of the forgiven traitor Rope-caller would have been icing on the cake. Problem of course being that they can't even get seven out,
much less 9.
>>
>>385477480
_ae

>>
>>385477640

>>
>>385478037

>>
What happens if you free Tamitha? Does Pamitha get new lines?
>>
>>385478415
Yeah. And it'll affect the epilogue.
>>
>>385478790
Quick summary? Pam is still acting a bit weird but I denied her sister liberation
>>
>>385478907
I mean its not a huge difference, it mostly just affects Pam and Tam's personal epilogues.

Just play the game
>>
>>385478136

That's technically correct, but I was referring to including _ae; Sandlewood's desired 8 representatives of the scribes is already impossible with 7 slots. Including _ae as an incarnation of Rope-Caller limits them to only 6 slots for the intended show of solidarity.
>>
>>385479563
I mean, you don't have to ascend _ae
>>
>>385478907

If Pam and Tam both go topside, they "reconcile" in their own way... Tamitha cripples her sister and they call the feud settled.
Pam gets over it, while it eats at Tam for the rest of her life. A similar scenario occurs if they are both in Downside.

If they are separated, Pam will send letters that Tamitha never reads.

In any case, Pamitha spends her time wandering either the new Saharin Union or Downside.

If Rukey is with her, they become drinking buddies.
>>
>>385479802
What?
At least if you get the nonviolent revolution, Tam is forced to accept that Pam had a major role in it, but she refuses to actually forgive Pam anyway. But nothing about her hurting Pam.
>>
>>385479784

Despite her spacy nature, she's an incredible asset for the spiritual angle of the revolution, since she basically has the book of rites memorized.

Holy fuck is there a way to turn off switch-on-LMB? This one control mechanic literally makes the combat 20% less fun by itself. I don't know why they thought making LMB swap characters when they already have three mistake-free ways of swapping characters (z/x,numkeys and point+shift), but they decided to make movement so much more obnoxious and imprecise when dealing with multiple dudes in close proximity to one another.

Good writing
Characters with actual depth due to said good writing
Characters that develop in interesting ways
Godlike voice acting, seriously just fucking listen to Royce from Transistor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DviyuGNeWc
Good music backing all of this
>>
>>385486108
Making Royce have a southern accent was an interesting choice, but I approve. He did a great job

I asked em on Steam. Unfortunately no. The multiplayer was meant to take the place of continued playing.

I think that's dumb even as one of the few people intending to get real regular use out of the multiplayer. And that the choices make it "inherently replayable" which granted is true, but the gameplay doesn't reflect that.
You have to deal with the tutorial level difficulty of the path to the first liberation. The fact that you don't have all 12 signs until the game is nearly over. You can't carry over your leveled characters (Because god knows you can't even get close to capping the cast) and you can't fight against enemies with elevated tactics and a in game level and items matching your own.
>>
>>385486725
Yeah, hopefully they patch it later so on subsequent playthroughs you have access to all the stars from the get go.

Perhaps if we message them, they'll consider it. If they replied to your initial post

How did you make it through the game without holding the ball and having one of those tiny fuckers and there unreasonably big auras bounding towards you?
>>
>>385486991
I also sent him through first because it was either that or "Breaking up the band"

So i have like literally an entire games worth of Ty'Zo to look forward to
>>
>>385476297
On the final rite at least, the enemy usually reached the ball before I could place the sapling on it.

And I thought his blink was the worst dash skill. Mostly because its fucking hard to judge where you will land.

Trying to score with him, constantly under and overshot my blink, ending up right next to the goal, but not on it, and then I move so slowly after, they basically banish me by walking into me
>>
>>385487183
Right but the point is to use him as a defender. I put the seed on the ground a bit in front of him and you can cover approach very well that way.

Alternatively on stages with bottomless pits he can blink over them. The one fire one he can just implant himself in the middle and be disgustingly good. on offense and defense, an poke back into his bubble almost entirely safely.
>>
>>385487349
I mostly just wanted his achievement for damage dealt. I got every one of them except his
>>
>>385487584

The hard and otherwise choices, top tier party, god tier epilogue, and surprisingly lighthearted dialogue scratched an itch I haven't been able to scratch since Dragon Age Origins.

The Rites are a blast but fuck me am I bad at them. I have no mind for sports since I've never really followed them. Hopefully playing with my buddy will help me get good.

I left me, _ae, and Bertrude in the downside. Emotional shit man. Not realizing it was going to be limited I sent up Ty'Zo first, and I couldn't separate him and Volfred so I let him go last. Then he offered it to me. Man I'm glad he took it back when offered and some bullshit with Oralech didn't occur.

Also Bertrude is best girl.
>>
>>385449806
Bastion was just as bad, you were just a child when you played it.
>>
>>385488682
Oh also I was upset I had to separate _ae from Ty'Zo and Jodariel but she liked a guy and it worked out so hey, I wasn't sending the aspie back up.
I also didn't feel great about seperating Volfred and Bertrude but I wasn't giving somebody elses spot to her when she would be happy about Volfred and probably dislike leaving the downside honestly.

Apparently the horns go down? That's what I've heard
>>
>>385488730
Nah, Bastion wasn't 70% Visual Novel, 30% gameplay.

The gameplay that WAS in Bastion was significantly faster paced as well (not that it was actually FAST, but no one debates that Pyre's is significantly slower in comparison)
>>
>>385489419
Yeah, the horns eventually recede when brought back to the commonwealth.

Though oddly, Jodariel is the only one whose narration never states that her horns receded, Ignarius's horns are mentioned to be receeding in the update note you get if he ascends and Oralech's horns recede too in the epilogue if you ascend him at the end
>>
>>385489615
>30%
t. hasn't actually played the game.
>>
>>385489615
The incredibly safe block and dodge of bastion slow the gameplay quite a bit. If the enemy decides to rush down your goal in Pyre you can't just hit the block button whenever.

Manley was such a good villain character.

I both hated and felt sympathy for Orelech. He basically fucks everyone over, but he himself is fairly tragic. My only real gripe with Orelech is he has no reason to attack you like he does. The only one even remotely related to him is Sandalwood, and Sandalwood had nothing to do with what happened to Orelech.
>>
>>385490818
He's just bitter (and possibly slightly crazy from years of isolation) at the Nighthawks. Aside from Volfred, he's more mad at the idea of the Nighthawks than anyone in it

Why are Bastion and Transistor so critically aclaimed? They're both borefests, they both had several nice things but none of them were the gameplay, the story or the graphics.

In Bastion's case the narrator's voice was godly and the artstyle was pretty, in transistor's case the music was amazing and shittposting on the in-game made me smile every time despite literally being "press X to shitpost" but none that make a good game by a long shot.
>>
>>385490812

I fucked up and lost against him in a liberation rite.
Shortly after he returns to the commonwealth he gets a cozy spot in the higher ranks, exiling people left and right.
In the ending where both the harpies and the rebels overthrow the commonwealth, he tries to calm the mob down only to get told to fuck off. Later on he gets caught for his jewery again and I believe his family disowns him for wasting their money on trying to get free, and since exile stopped being a thing he spends his days forced to do community service and sweeping the streets.
>>
>>385491263
No problem. I actually don't remember hearing the difference in game, but it's still pretty nice.
>>
>>385491423

I might be the only person in the world who gave it to Orelech, I didn't give a fuck, and I knew Sandalwood wouldn't give a fuck as long as the plan succeeded, so I figured I'd give him his "Justice".

It's cool how basically everyone you beat ends up getting decent endings anyways,
although I felt kinda bad for the Fates.
>>
>>385495126
I gave it to him too because he was the only person that really wanted it.
>>
>>385495126

In my run, I gave it to Orlech when he refused to let me give it to Pamitha.

He won it fair and square anyways. Well...
As fair as the rites have been in the first place.
>>
Speaking of endings, who did you end up freeing?

I sent up _ae, Jodi, Rukey, Pamitha,
Hendwyn and Sir Gilman
>>
>>385495532
Hedwyn, Jodariel, Rukey, Almer, Rhae, Sir Gilman, Volfred

didn't want to free miss moontouched initially, but i had to let her go topside after i cucked her out of a friendship
>>
>>385495532

Bertrude liked it down here, _austist doesn't care either way, and I'm the one who fucked up sending Ty'Zo first.
>>

>>
>>385496625
I think it's mentioned that anyone who participates in the rites hears it.
>>
>>385449806
The best part of the "flash game" meme is that it is destined to die, so eventually retards like you won't be able to use it as a go-to to complain about things that aren't in 3D, and will instead have to figure out how to actually articulate your opinions.
>>
>>385497596
The funny thing is the game is 3D, it just looks 2D
>>
>>385488625

Can you see if there's a True Nightwings' version of Never to Return? It'd be the closest thing the game has to a "final boss theme", and ever since I heard that each triumvirate has their own instrumental and lyrics for the song, I've been really curious as to what that version was like since I was too busy being upset at my whole team getting wiped while Oralech marches the ball into my defenseless pyre repeatedly

I'm pretty sure the only physicical relationship the Reader can have is dependant on a choice.
During one conversation with (I'm pretty sure) Hedwyn he'll ask if you have anyone waiting for you in the commonwealth just befor/after he tells you about his harp waifu.
>>
>>385498492
It's worded to be vague enough to mean "friends and family" though. Generally speaking the only teasing towards physical relationships the Reader gets are with the harpy, who gets it with a lot of people and has no real ending with you, and Jodi who I recall people mentioned shoots you down.
>>
>>385498806
She cares about you but "draws a line" at friendship "for a number of reasons" but of the reasons I can think of most would be fixed by both of you going back to the commonwealth.
>>

>Sent Jodariel up while keeping Ignarius in the downside

>>
>>385488625
From what I can make out, the changed lyrics are:

By the scribes we gather in their names
For Many-Mane the Fate defend his flames
Jomuer the fearless one cannot be tamed
His faithful three put honor to the flames

Who shall rise again?

With discipline the order of the Mane,
Preserve the glory of the Alpha's grave(?)
Persevere, it shall not be in vain

Who shall rise again?
(rest is from the usual version of Never to Return)

Not sure what that third-to last line is, though.

>>385497861
After redoing the final Rite, I think the version on the OST is the True Nightwings' theme, maybe with a few twangy instrumental additions to call back Oralech's theme.
>>
>>385495532
Jodi, Rukey, Hedwyn, mae, gilman, pamitha's sister wrecked me - and oralech
i feel really unsatisfied because everyone in the downside are only really loose friends, and because i couldn't help hedwyn keep his promise to me
