I wouldn't really care for one, Paper Mario is heavily stylized so it wouldn't really be worth it to remake. Something like Pokemon Stadium would do so much better with a remake and updates to the 3D models (as long as they maintain the same animations)

If they were to remake it they better try keeping the original aesthetic as best as they can. Like for example that texture hack is complete ass for trying to replicate TTYD's art style into the game, it really doesn't fit it at all. Give me my watercolored backgrounds for example.

desu Color Splash was gorgeous. I just wish they didn't add the fucking white outline outside the black outline, that looked stupid. Other than that I thought the visuals were the best thing about the game.

Agreed. Completely ignoring the rest of the game which was a shitshow, the art style is nice. I like that they went back to the snappy animations like the first game rather than TTYD/Super where characters were "puppets" made of many parts, that always felt weird to me.

No partners or personality, and make the battle system awful. Because that's what we want, right?
