Respawn Punisher does not give enemies you splat a higher respawn time if that's what you think. It only effects enemies who splat you before they die. You have to get killed by them (and also suffer the punishment yourself because of how the ability works), and then wait for them to eventually get killed (if it even happens) to get anything out of it. It's one of the most worthless abilities in the game.

So is Quick Respawn, putting that ability on does not automatically make you respawn faster, read the ability blurbs. It doesn't activate until you've died multiple times in a row without splatting anybody else at all. You have to fuck up colossally for it to even activate, and the benefit is negligible.

Try to hold the middle at the beginning in all modes, unless the tower or rainmaker runs off

Bomb the enemy tower, does not matter if you kill them or not at least you get them off for a second.

If everyone but you gets wiped retreat and try to hold the enemy back so your mates have a safe spot to jump to.

Use bombs to stop enemy from advancing. Not to kill them, but block them off a route or a sweet sniping spot.

There are some events on high difficulties where you just cannot do anything, ever, except mop up small fry and (barely) assist your hopefully competent teammates. If they aren't competent, you lose. Almost every other weapon allows for you to take charge and lift your team to victory. Not the brush.

The slots which start as ? marks are random. You get the abilities you want by talking to Murch, accumulating ability chunks, and spending them to add that ability to your gear. Also you can spend coins to add an extra slot, but you need to be level 20.

The big one is usually preset except those gained from splatnet or players who ordered clothes from splatnet, the little ones are random but certain brands have higher chance to roll specific abilities.

To get specific sets of abilities either get it through sheet luck or farming chunks.

I just got past level 1 and the whole thing changed from fun to absolute hell. First wave it went dark with a non stop chain of gold salmon and a team wipe in 20 seconds. It's like taking a child from training wheels on to a fucking motorcycle.
