Ame no Uzume is like, level 17 or something? There is literally no need to grind for that, considering you get to Matador around level 12.

Get the Force magatama on the shop literally one room before, get a demon for healing and someone with sukunda/dekunda. Other buffs recommended but that goes without saying.

Literally just use the mechanincs the game has been teaching you about. That's all.

If you're still having trouble with that, grind to level 14 and fuse/recruit Nozuchi, who drains force and is also on that shitty sewer.

Some skills are only for certain types of demons. For instance, physical skills that require a weapon can't be inherited by a demon who has claws and so on. There are a few skills that are demon exclusives, but these are mostly for the fiends.

That said, every time you select two demons to fuse the game rolls a different set of skills to be inherited. So you can just keep rolling until you get what you want.

Yeah, it sucks.

It's not easy to explain, so I'll try my best.

To get a demon with a skill you want, you need to have a demon with that skill. For example, I want Odin to have Bolt Storm. Barong has Bolt Storm so I fuse it with Laksmi and Odin may get Bolt Storm. The demons skills are randomized so I may have to put the two demons together multiple times to see if he will get Bolt Storm. Sometimes the particular demon I want has his own skills, like Odin has Agidyne and Bufudyne from the start, so nobody needs those skills for Odin to have them.

- SMT IV (latest in the main series) is about a bunch of medieval knights who carry out a holy crusade against the demons emerging from underground caverns beneath their kingdom, which turns out to be portal to a post-apocalyptic Tokyo infested with demons.

- Devil Summoner Raidou is about a 1920s teenage detective in Japan who investigates supernatural events, and protects his city from the demonic threat. There's also a lot of commentary about the rapid modernization happening in Japan in this time period.

- Strange Journey, you're a member of an international scientific expedition into a black hole that appeared on the south pole. Your fellow crew members begin hallucinating and going insane as you travel between dimensions.

So yeah, persona tends to have better writing, and generally better polish, but it's played very safe, while SMT gets to be the weird budget series. I guess in a word, persona lives based on its story, and SMT's strength is in its setting.

Raidou, Devil Survivor, and DDS were pretty creative.

DDS doesn't even have gods and demons, just people.

How fucked up is the PAL version of Nocturne? I heard It's got some gamebreaking bugs that make the game unbeatable.

From what I've heard, the Labyrinth of Amala is really prone to freezing, especially during the lower levels. Also as expected of ever PAL game ever, it runs like total dick.

This. Add on top of that random 'fusing' and negotiation which are considered selling points by tensei fags. I can't believe I dropped a game starring a shirtless cute fuccboi. This tells you about the quality of the game. Also there's only like one good track in the entire game unlike P3 and P4.
