Viktor has been OP as hell since first alpha release. The devs even responded to the criticism of him having no damage drop off, literally zero recoil, high damage, high fire rate and large magazine and being effectively the best "sniper" in the game by announcing that Viktor is their favorite, he was the first character they ever even made and that his character is just fine.

He's the reason I quit playing because I only ever died to Viktor and have never played a game without him on the enemy team and he always has the highest damage out put or highest kills every game

Nah, takes around 70 hours to get all the characters anyways, and then you will have more than enough gold after that, even if you need to pick up a new champion once in a while.

He isn't as broken as he used to be. Haven't played him but you don't see him as often anymore + the players don't seem to cause as much issues nowadays. Tyra on the other hand...

its really hard to get into after playing overwatch
it looks good and all but the gameplay doesnt feel as precise as overwatch
it feels wonky at times but its also pretty solid for a f2p game

It used to take around 70 hours (when I started some 21 patches ago, it was even easier to get them), but they readjusted a LOT of costs recently. Heroes cost way more, and gold is harder to get.

Only bad thing is essence and them being late to patch out bugs.
Essence screws over new players hard.

It definitely needs to be polished up more but it's a solid game, definitely worth the 20 for characters ATM, or when they Implement the character rotation in a patch or two (depending on if PC or console) it may not even matter since youll get to test characters easier.
Also it's small but readjusting to the long walks doing nothing in Overwatch after playing Paladins is painful.

I have 400 hours into the game and the worst things are the grind, bugs and the casual shit they are adding lately probably because of console launch.

They added a new currency, essence, to increase the grind tenfold. People of course complained so they decreased the grind a little but after some patches they increased it again almost doubling the gold cost of champs and skins. Hi Rez likes to test their community. They go full jew and when people complain they give in the right amount to please them.

They don't give bugs enough importance as they should because it's a "beta". Game has game breaking bugs and some are even a year old. They also manage to break new shit every patch.

Last patches casualized a lot of stuff. Reduced mobility of some champs. Increased projectile speed. New champs are braidead to play with lock ons, autoaim abilities and shit. Killing the game for me lately.

I'm a sucker for those "get all characters for life" deals in F2P games, just because I like the variety and don't have to worry about access to new characters as they arrive. It's the closest a F2P game gets to "buying" it.
