Most are instantly killed if you spot them early and headshot them with the bow.

crouch when entering buildings, headshot them with arrows. someone on steam said to wait a bit before entering to ensure no instaspawn zombies attack you from behind, i've yet to test that theory tho

None and that's why it's great

That's kind of it's failing. Zombie hordes are no longer a threat because they can't dig downwards and you can just dig yourself into a hole and wait bloodmoons out.
