The thing about DNF is that the game that eventually came out wasn't the one that had been announced all those years prior, it was a game that had only been in development for the standard couple years and just happened to have the same name as the legendary vaporware. But Cleve, for better or worse, believes in his vision and that everything he's done up to this point is perfect. He's not going to abandon everything and restart, he's just going to keep adding to the monstrosity. Grimoire is more valuable as a case study of a strange man than a game.
