I just name my character after the state I live in.

Some funny nonsense word and i spend the playthrough pretending I'm doing a lets play

I usually use my own name, or a name that I like a lot. In the latter case, it's sort of like if I were naming a child, if that makes sense. Unless it's not a name meant to be taken seriously, in that case I spew as many memes as I can fit into the character limit.

Most of the time I actually use one of only several names from my fiction. The last time, I used my first name though.

Depends on the game.
For RPGs where you make a character, I go with a theme and a fitting name
I'll often use a "canon" name if there is one
Otherwise, I just use my real name

i just use my actual name or variations of it, elias, eli, eriasu for weebshit, lias if i want to avoid common name shit but stick to my actual name.

I usually go for my real name for male characters and the female version of my name for female characters.

Nickname is Jimmy so I use that but sometimes I make it age/culture appropriate so for example in lotr games I'm Jimolas or if I'm a black guy I'm Jimal
