From what I've heard there's a lot of postgame story/content after the main quest. That number probably includes it. Postgame to the extent this game seems to have isn't really postgame to be fair, but the main quest is over so it gets called that anyway.

Nothing. Tomodatchi life can potentially have miis not in your mii maker, so that's why it's there. Well, that and you can dye hare in tomodatchi and miitopia but not in the maker. Might be easier to grab the dyed version rather than use the mii maker one and edit it.
