it was made from absolute scratch but tried to be 100% accurate.
Because of this the physics are fucked, they just tried to estimate how Crash should move and then they tried to make enemy hitboxes traditional but with new models that don't necessarily reflect it.
As a result you cannot play it the same as the originals, there are many jumps that drastically change based on these subtle differences and the enemy hitboxes are far less intuitive.
It's still fun but it definitely did not make the originals redundant.
