I went from a ultra wide to a 1080p 144hz, hope it helps (but you need at least a gtx1080 )

It's dumb and extremely nonstandard. Yeah, you're not going to see a ton of support for it. It has overall less pixels than a 4K display so you're not winning more screen real estate either. You'll quickly realize that turning your head side to side to see things isn't more convenient at all. It's just not worth it.

Anyone that owns a 1440p 165hz gsync/freesync monitor, fess up about your backlight bleed here.
