It's designed after MM3, so utilize Rush Coil. You also have the Charge from 4.

Stages are massive and chug on my system. Every 3-5 seconds is a stutter, which makes it really hard to play a game like Megaman on. Weed stage wasn't too bad, since it kept forcing players forward, but felt like it could either use health on the stage or another checkpoint or two.

I tried rush, but I couldn't get enough height from the ground, and I hit the ceiling when I tried from the top of the teleporter.

I do tend to make overly long stages, yeah. I think it's because I see so many short levels, and I try to do something different. Weird that it would chug though, I designed the stages on a shitty laptop and didn't notice any slowdown.

Odd on the tanks, since I can nab them from the ground.

As far as the stuttering goes, part of it is just because Mega Maker will load the entire stage at once, which is really obvious with how Yokou Blocks are on a global timer instead of a screen based one. I also am guessing my CPU is showing its age with this game. I'm sporting an AMD Phenom Deneb 955, which is almost a decade old by this point in time.

Level design was good overall, and the boss was great! Only complaints are that the checkpoints feel oddly spaced, and that Yamato Man enemy feels real bad to fight with no charge, because of how little opportunity you have to hit the thing.

Good to know, thanks for your input! I'll change the enemy placement in that room when i do some overhalls to the level later on, I admit he's a little cheap there. Did you find the secret branch in the level? It nets you an E-tank. I could add one more check point earlier on in the level too, probably after the Big Eye.

Way too many spikes my dude. It's an ok level, but it needs some cleaning up. Remove that jump at the beginning of the level that requires you to fit between two spikes.

I really like the level design, it was pretty fun! My only gripe, the springs in the boss room actually let Stone Man clip out of the level, you may want to rethink the gimmick in that fight.

I playtested the boss multiple times, but out of like 10 or 12 times fighting him he only ever clipped out once, so honestly I just figured it was too uncommon to change the fight for.

I suppose that's fair enough, you can only fix what you see yourself in the level. An easy fix for the level would be simply removing the ceiling, He won't clip and it'll give slightly more leeway for the player to dodge.

Yep, I just extracted the raw and opened the file to play the game. Has been happening the whole time even after keeping the buttons the same in the configuration menu. Usin' a keyboard~

Okay so it seems like there's no fix for it really, just when I was about to upload a new version with a "fixed" boss, after already playtesting the boss a few times, this happened.

No, I don't think that would do it, since what caused it this time was that he did a midair jump against the right wall and got clipped in it, then shot up to the top.
Guess I'll just have to remove the springs altogether, which sucks, because personally I found them to make the fight a lot more interesting that was it normally is.

I took some inspiration from Dr. Wiley Stage 1 from Mega Man 2

I feel like the beginning and middle of the stage is perfect, but the end falls flat on its face.

This is the issue with level editor games, really. No one wants to play anything challenging, and it isn't very fun to just make boring ass levels that would be too easy even as a first level.

I made a whole 10 stage game but took down the final two stages because everyone seemed to hate them due to difficulty. Put up two castlevania inspired levels in their place

What is the issue with its "optimization"? I have not encountered any issues that aren't caused by the fact this is all just taken straight from the NES and exhibits the limitations and issues the NES had (such as lag from using the M beam)

The stage had an undewhelming amount of enemies at the start especially considering how large the hallway was and Topman was a joke but otherwise it's a pretty solid level.

It's an interesting concept, but it suffers a bit from uneven difficulty. The cave area, while much more interesting, is also much harder, and then the boss is a joke.

One thing that could be improved on is making it so that you can put down a rush jet right next to the first of the tunnel things instead of having to do it at the start of the cave. I drew a little in ms paint to show you what I mean.

I wanted the boss to involve using the rush jet as well, but I couldn't think of any way to get it to work. Maybe it would have been better if I just used an energizer instead. I figured a hard boss wouldn't be too welcome after having to thread the needle in the previous section though.

Maybe I'll rework the stage so the spike tunnels happen only like two or three times and the rest of the stage is more like the first. That might make it a bit less frustrating.

You placed a partyball, then removed it, then placed a boss. You could do this as much as you wanted.

Why is the robot master selection so bad? I get that more will be added in but who was the fuck who thought "OH MAN! KNIGHT MAN AND TOPMAN GOTTA GO IN FIRST!" and didn't think anyone would want an electricity, ice, or fire robot master for their level even though there's multiples to choose from. Just seems weird they picked largely odd ball robot masters.

Think about the selection for a moment.
They are hands down the simplest Robot Masters in the series. That means they're easy to replicate.
That's why they were all put in first.

I'm not sure how but I found an infinite weapon energy bug while playing your level. When I open the menu, Mega Man quick-switches to Silver Tomahawk but then the M Buster is selected. Exiting the menu gives me Silver T with no ammo usage.

It has nothing to do with your stage of course, just thought it was neat.

It looks like it'll keep happening on all levels until I close the game too. You could probably get the same effect by quick-switching on the same frame you open the menu. I don't know why it's happening for me automatically though.

Honestly the hardest level I've played in Mega maker, I really enjoyed how you forced people to use the slide. The usage of Search Snake was also a great idea, love using unorthodox weapon movements to your advantage. 7/10 IMO

Great level design, loved how you used the different platform types. I'd say integrate that platform use with some interesting/exploitative enemy placement and you can make some devilish levels.
