Played on the hardest difficulty though. It's not hard enough to be frustrating nor easy enough to be a cakewalk. Played Rokurou for extra fun, timing Innominat's spells on the last fight was a bitch, but well worth it.

Summoning new weapons doesn't accomplish much once you have 4 of them for a character.
So long as you can throw on 4 things that combo together reasonably (hell, some of them can be weapons for other people too, they don't have reduced stats on the wrong character)
You'll need to run the daily level up crystal and money maps a lot no matter what you do if you want to get every character capable of doing the hard maps, but I never hit an impossible map doing everything in JP up to the Raven Rita event

What if Tales of Berseria 2 follows Eizen, it's mostly Pirate themed, you get to travel the world and stuff and it ends with him turning into a dragon wishing he'd get to meet Edna one more time. Or could be something like Edna got captured by an evil group of pirates also Zaveid has his own group of pirates and he'd be your main rival through out the game. We can even play with alternate timeline stuff (although that would make the game non canon) like having characters from the first game come back and having their own pirate gangs

I wish JRPGs would make a world and then place the character in it, rather than make the character and build the world around them. It never feels like I am walking around in a living breathing world, everything in JRPGs always seems to exists with the playable character in mind, it always feels very "gamey".

It is one of the things the witcher3 does so well, the towns and villages feel like actual places that exist in their own right. It never feels like everyone in these villages is sitting around with nothing to do, their sole purpose in life being to wait for the MC to come and visit, like in a lot of JRPGs.

On a more serious note, why is being reminded that I am playing a video game a good thing? You don't want to be reminded the characters are just polygons without any feelings or emotions either do you? I mean that is why modern games and especially modern narrative driven games go out of their way to make the various characters look real and alive. If you didn't care about being reminded that they aren't actually real then all that is a waste of effort and the artist could have finished his work by depicting the character as a mere triangle.

No, it's gameplay is cool, story quite good and the world building excellent. But at no point is it possible to identify with Geralt, much less self insert. At the very most you are being immersed in the world, but even that not so much, nowhere on earth do trees stand at 45 degree angles in stormy weather as in fantasy Poland. How about some "normal" stormy weather?

I liked the game, haven't played a Tales game new since Graces and I didn't like it all that much. Last one that I really liked was Vesperia.

The way a lot of stuff lead up to the ending left me very much wanting more with the characters and I really wanted Velvet and Phi traveling the world or something like Velvet and Laphicet were supposed to. It makes more sense, and I was kinda of sad there wasn't something that let people see the Malkian still. But oh well you can't get everything but, a future game would be nice.
