There are fun races with cool mechanics (Chaos, the various different Vapires, Chaos Dwarves, maybe Elves, with the new update maybe even dwarves), but also more vanilla ones (the Warhammer muslims are pretty much the same, but can learn magic; Bretonnia is pretty boring, as their grail quest isn't that interesting; Empire seems somewhat bland, although the have the most complex building tree, witch hunters, universities, forming of mercenary bands etc and are in a constant state of war with Vlad and each other).
Still theres so many different races and factions that I haven't even played all of them.

It's probably your best shot if you want a fantasy Warhammer roleplaying experience. The modders are pretty autistic and want to add EVERYTHING, which makes the mod pretty bloated, hardware intesive and new updates take forever.

Orks are more fun and terrifying on how goofy insane they will make things out of pure idiot logic and it would work. You can make a giant knife out of smaller knives and try to cut an Imperial Blockade like that and it would work.

Orcs are more tempered back and an interesting take in SOME cases where one can bring story into how the Major Horde deals with Splinter clans that continue to have a sense of identity outside of the Horde, how to deal and work with other races and deal with the shit they have been given while native species get the better share of the land.

That all went out the fucking window with Mists and GARROSH IS EVIL

Orks, especially in large numbers, are exceptionally difficult to corrupt with Chaos influence, and Tyranids are practically anti-Chaos, so a battlefield with both of them is kind of like going to a barbeque and having to fight all the fat people for a single hotdog, it eventually becomes not worth the effort.

Hey guys, I'm writing this fapfic based on two of my beastmen campaigns in Total war. Long story short: A beast chief of the slaaneshi persuasion corrupts the wood elven forest slaaneshi-style and (gradually) turn it into a magic realm of debauchery and breeding.. It should be noted i hadnt collected fantasy in like 10 years prior to this so i wasnt invested what so ever.

I personally think that it was down to that director that is now gone and they are atleast somewhat trying to make amends now with this other guy thats in charge. Its far to little to late for most people and if you dont like the new aesthetic or style nothings going to change your mind and nor should it, the game is nothing like it was before especially in its atmosphere.

I just like the ironjawz models, i've never even played it and i think the "lore" is slowly adding more semi interesting shit. At the end of the day though im not that invested in it, but it did get me to buy models for the first time in years.
