I played the test punch for 5 hours during 2 weekends. I thought that It would be a solid buy for 40€/USD, depending how much more content the full game has. If I got bored of the beta, does the full game provide anything new?

Also, I feel like the skill floor to play this game is really low, while the skill cap is really low too. During the beta I noticed that this game punishes you for attacking, because it makes you vulnerable to grabs. I won most of my games spamming grab

This couldn't be further removed from the truth though.
The game rewards attacking immensely because it charges your rush metre whether or not you hit or miss. Grabs can be stopped by a single punch.

Grab spamming is only really something you encounter on the lower ranks. It's by no means viable in the long run.

Only thing to do is wait for some kind of update.
Honestly I feel the game couldve had beter presentation and a story mode couldve fleshed the game out a bit more. Online is fun, but unless you just like party mode, its just a matter of getting rank for the sake of getting rank at this point.

As someone who bought splatoon day one I'll tell you to just be patient. While the community is quieter than it was even when that game launched there was very much this same feeling of the game not catching on, it being shovelware and a community would Never develop for it.

Had nothing to do with his ability to adapt to the opponent they were just playing safe the whole time.

Also whats the problem with being careful with your attacks? Twintelle is a defensive character anyway and he was playing her pretty aggressively for a twintelle and managed to bring it back BECAUSE he got to figure out the springmans patterns of attacks.

Maybe this is why the game hasn't taken off people can see beyond the most basic things and don't take note of the much more complicated nuances of the game.
