You have to do it from a b/c starter though. If you start with a 2a/5a you gotta do the simple 2c>5c>j.2c route.

Theres some corner specific stuff with it too but i wouldn't worry about that until you become consistent first.

Came out like a week ago in JP. Lots of people are getting it now since it's a fighting game so the text being translated doesn't matter as much (though there's a google doc for the menus and stuff). I'll definitely recommend the English version when it does come out, especially to new players because the tutorials are godlike and the trials legitimately teach you how to play your character (minus more optimal stuff for Wagner/Enkidu and new moves characters got in the console release like Eltnum's IC shots or her new Vorpal trait).

You can buy the game on an account, download it to your system, then give the account information to another person so they can download it to their console as well. Basically they get it for free unless they pitch in PSN codes so you can split the cost or something. I've done it a few times, a friend shared BBCF. The tutorial itself starts from the literal bottom and goes all the way to teaching you about shit like safe jumps and option selects, and the mission mode/trials can legitimately teach you how to play a character with no outside help since it goes into how to use the character's tools and for everyone but Wagner/Enkidu, the higher difficulty combos are legitimate combos from arcade players.

Byakuya's fine. Really, the general consensus right now is that everyone is good except for Enkidu. Of course you're still going to have characters people call top tier (Vatista, Phonon, Seth; Elt/Hyde if you wanna push it to 5) but outside of Enkidu (who's basically EL Akatsuki in terms of being not that good) everyone's closer to even than most other games out there.
