It isn't a meme. A clearly very talented studio came up with a genuinely novel concept that hooked people immediately and threw it away by proving how utterly creatively bankrupt they were in literally every regard.

I watched some twitch fag play it on day one and he spent over an hour wrestling with the crafting and looting system by searching trash cans for one generic item to complete a procedurally generated quest that would let him move to a different block of the procedurally generated map. The people behind this game should be fucking ashamed of themselves.
