Beyond that, the Horde is a bunch of straggling refugee tribes while the Alliance consists of multiple healthy agrarian nations. The Alliance should be thousands of times larger than the Horde, and that was the case before WoW fucked up the lore.
Remember the orc campaign from TFT? Daelin sailed a rushed fleet across the ocean to find survivors, render aid, and bring them back. Guess how well the entire Horde did against someone not even equipped for war?
