My Samsung Tab A 10.1 does this to. Well done, the Switch runs a basic "indie" game at 1080p 60fps. Call me when Battlefield 1 hits 1080p@60fps, or any AAA for that matter.

Notch himself posted his little indie cave game right here on /v/, and that's part of how Minecraft took off. I'll still play it, but it's either gotta be modded into the ground or in a pure-anarchy multiplayer environment. The former breathes new replayability into the game, and the latter is unforgiving enough to weed out kids and to prevent emotional moderators abusing their power. I remember when the first thing you saw on every multiplayer server was that someone built a dick. Those were the glory days of Minecraft.

The collection of huge community-made modpacks is the one reason the original PC version will always be objectively superior. Feed the Beast is excellent with bringing their modpacks together.

I'm still waiting for the official mod API, though. They promised it years ago. I know it'll never come out of Mojang, but with them relinquishing the PC version as a "community version," times can really change for their community. That'll become more apparent as its PC users age and the new wave of kids either forget that the separate original version even exists or figure it's too much trouble to buy a different version AND install mods.
