Tell you the truth, I was exaggerating when I was talking about rhyme and reason, but that locust material and others of that nature just aren't for me. Like the last really thrashy stuff I enjoyed was Slayer, and even then I haven't listened to any of their songs in over half a year, nor did I ever explore their work in detail in the first place. I suppose I really enjoy the classic stuff because they keep a more measured pace

JXL is okay I guess, his Fury Road score was cool, but nothing I listen to outside of that movie, nothing that really caught on. The production is really bombastic and loud, but I need more than just compressed taiko drums, staccato strings and fluttering trombones to get me going for a score.

I didnt think much of his Deadpool score nor his collab with Zimmer on Batman V Superman either.
