Resident Evil series has withstanded change way better than Silent Hill games, but if we'd compare just the original quadrilogy of both series, SH wins.

Silent Hill has a better setting, but I find classic RE better gameplay-wise.

Anyways, since there isn't a SH thread up today.
I just finished SH2 and got the water ending, the game is alright but extremely overrated on this board, I liked the first one more. I was also expecting the game to be longer and harder, but I played it on normal in both difficulty and puzzles so I can't really complain. Finished the game with an absurd amount of ammo and healing items left though.

Silent Hill 1-3 are better than 90% of the RE games and I say this as a die hard RE fan, too bad the series has been dead since SH3 and has been one disappointment after another while RE games have been at least decent. Reminder that the last SH properties were a shitty Diablo clone and a movie that raped SH3 lore.

Had Silent Hill keep up the quality, it would have been the best horror game series of all time.
