Gotta say the PC version is preferable, and you probably won't get lost (apart from some world map backtracking fuckery)
Can't vouch for the PS1 store version, but the PS3's emulation as a rule is pretty shitty. First played it on an upside down PS1, the console had some longevity issues.

Bloodborne is 100x better than Demon's Souls. I love Demon's Souls but if you look at it without rose-tinted glasses next to any other Souls game it simply falls flat, it's nowhere near as polished, way shorter than every other Souls game, and the bosses are mostly totally unmemorable.

Bloodborne did non-traditional bossfights better than DeS as well as having the best traditional bossfights in the series.

all traditional bosses that are absolute fucking JOKES compared to their counterparts in later games, even just DaS 1. Allant, the most paraded boss in the game, is fucking laughable compared to later similar bosses like Sulyvahn. Maneaters are comically simple compared to Bell Gargoyles. The best bosses in DeS are on par with mediocre bosses in DaS 2. The only strength DeS has over the rest of the series is individual level design (I personally value DaS' interconnectedness over this) and atmosphere which is 100% ethereal and subjective. I'm sick of people holding DeS on a pedestal, it was great but DaS is basically the same game but improved.

You definitely have a point there but I still question the effectiveness of the list seeing as it's most likely impossible to turn even a single thread on this board into some form of haven for patricians, and people posting 3x3s with the same hundred or so games all the time doesn't really allow for too much discussion, while the current state of the threads is generally friendly and can incite people into trying the games other people have on their mosaics, with the obvious drawback being the varying quality of the mosaics themselves.

Sometimes. DeS' soundtracks gets points for being very unique when DaS 1-3 used pretty generic orchestral shit most of the time but some of the tracks in DeS are really basic and the trumpet sounds goofy at times.

There already isn't much of a discussion because of the games in the list (like Persona stuff etc) being posted so much.
This is a constant problem because it takes time to beat video games, so rarely does anyone go beyond the classics and essentials. I can count on my fingers the number of times I've seen a mosaic with a game that I never heard of, or have played.

That's not something that can really be solved however since what games someone plays is ultimately up to them, and even if he ends up going through a bunch of relatively obscure but quality titles there's no guarantee that any of them will have been good enough to land on a 3x3 or even a 4x4. Making a standalone thread for such games won't always be successful either, so what can you do?

I tend to think of putting conditions on the list as a more interesting fix to it. Post your favorites of a genre. Post your 3x3 of a game you went in thinking you'd hate but completely surprised you. Or games that have shitty openings but amazing once you get past the shitfest of the intro chapter (Looking at you, WItcher 1)

I won't be an asshole and tell you that Demon's is the best. Its just my favorite because it was my first one and I had the longest time with it. I got it when 4chan was losing their shit and importing it off PlayAsia. It had the biggest impact on me outta the entire series. Frankly I think Bloodborne is the best outta the bunch if you want me to be honest but hey, there you go.
