Most of the worthwhile PS2 games run fine on a modded PS3. I have a high end PC and PCSX2 but I rarely use it because I'm lazy.

PCSX2 is literally the worst emulator ever made. There isn't one game that it can run without some issue like missing shadows, skipping music, random lag, fucked up geometry or something. Not to mention it requires a top of the line CPU and also a pretty decent GPU because of how badly coded it it. The Wii U is more powerful yet Cemu can run games better while using much less resources.

It isn't fixed automatically but there is a workaround to it. Something like activating software mode then switching back to Hardware mode again. Check the pcsx2 wiki for the actual method of doing it
