The inane amount of awful play experience you have to endure in order to get to a level of gear where you can farm stuff to sell for real money currency is off the wall.

Also the trading system is fucking awful, on purpose. You have to spend hours and hours hours staring at trade chat to sell shit, it's garbage to the point you just say fuck it and buy game currency most of the time.

Everyone I know that played this spent money on it, I can't even comprehend playing this without doing that because it would fucking AWFUL.

Everything you make in the crafting system is insanely slow by design, cause they sell pay to speed up options (it takes 3 fucking DAYS to craft a new frame). They give you a tiny number of character slots, you have to keep buying more and more everytime you farm a new frame (they only tell you this after you spend a many hours / days farming it ofc).

Same for weapons, farm new weapons, craft it for 24 hours (ooops player you have no space, guess you can't get this new weapon now...unless you get that credit card out! ^_~).

They take large numbers of mods out of circulation, you can't farm power for shit. You have to trade with real money for them.

The game is insanely slow in terms of progress if you play free, it's roadblock city. All those roadblocks dissapear when money comes out though.

I've been playing again for 3 months now and I still don't have the focus lens I want, I ended up buying it for $10 because it's just so fucking shitty to farm it with a restriction of one attempt per day and a low % chance. Also yes, Focus is OP if you pick the correct one.

I wouldn't consider Warframe the best F2P out there gameplay-wise, even though I am very fond of it, but I could consider the best F2P simply because the developers try. They may shit on us time and time again (Raid bugs, the flop that was Archwing and the abortion that was Experimental Movement with it, etc.) they actively add meaningful content to the game. A lot of F2Ps I have played have stagnated beyond the initial 'gain players' phase and just add a couple weapons and maybe clothing. Warframe has frequently upgraded both internally (Ceres and Earth remasters, lighting update, Physics Based Rendering texture updates, cloth physics, foliage rendering upgrade) and externally (MR made more apparent rather than being a hidden button, whole tutorial that helps you learn each part of your ship, broken mods that ease you into modding and help soften the crutch of obtaining essential mods, Junctions that provide direction, goals, and rewards.) They are constantly lorebuilding, as just about every quest I can think of has brought a new piece of lore to light (although hinted in the Codex for a long time, Second Dream showed what really piloted the Warframes, The War Within showed us the Twin Queens along with the darker side of Orokin society, and the Syndicate quests gave us insight into their leader, including the most recent one.) They try their best to provide a fun and balanced game, and provide it with very frequent content updates and bugfixes.

Note that I never said the game was good, as that is entirely subjective. I only said my honest opinion and told them to look at videos of newer gameplay.

Warframe has weekly updates and bugfixes, and includes larger content updates than other games, such as lorebuilding quests, new Warframes with unique powers, weapons, map updates, new gamemodes, and now a whole new way to play.

I never said DE were perfect, I said that they try to provide a good game. They have very informative devstreams, including teasers, and Steve demos progress of various features on his twitter and his Sunday stream (if that's still a thing?) They provide weekly content, bug, and balancing updates, and keep in touch with the players. They may be fucking incompetent (they don't want to change switch speeds because they feel the game will turn into DmC(???), they refuse to give Warframes vacuum and insist on it being only for Sentinels, many features in the pipeline suddenly disappear, and they are atrocious with dates, with TWW appearing long after it was said to release) but they do more than a lot of F2P devs out there.

They keep adding new content, flipping out because it's not instantly popular and abandoning it instead of fixing it. They will most likely do that with the open world thing too.

They added raids, but due to how stupid they are barely anyone did them (they made content so complicated that it was impossible to pug for it, in a game founded on pugs). So instead of fixing them, they abandoned it completely.

Titania's good for weapon restriction sorties, especially since now they're 'in' your loadout but unusable so you can use your Primary's mods for her weapons.

I've played almost every mmorpg and Tera had amazing action combat, unless you prefer alt tab locking for some reason.

I'm guessing you either didn't play it at all or didn't play it very long, warrior and slayer were insanely fun to play in endgame dungeons.

The dodging with iframes, the blocking etc was the most fun I've had in an mmorpg. If you were skilled you could take almost no damage from anything, for an mmorpg this is unheard of.

You're gonna want to have Serration and 90% elementals (Hellfire, Stormbringer, Cryo Rounds, and Infected Clip for Rifle Primaries) for your weapon, these are the bulk of your damage. You'll want to look into Split Chamber (shoots two bullets for every one you fire, basically 2x DPS) relatively soon as well, and try to find a good weapon. I'd recommend the Boltor, all you need on it is pure damage, no crit or status.

All you need to trade is to be able to obtain and potentially refine relics. That means getting to Mars, which is the fourth planet you unlock in regular gameplay, which is maybe 5-10 hours max. If you want to open higher tier relics it'll obviously take more time, but cracking Lith relics and selling the stuff inside is exactly when you can get started.

Trade is pretty shit, but you can filter in/out words and use warframe.market.

It's a F2P game, expecting it not to have F2P elements is dumb as fuck, although this doesn't excuse the atrocious wait time for Warframes and the lack of indication for slots.

Most weapons take 12 hours to build, only maybe 1/4th(?) of them take 24 hours, and those are usually the higher end ones. All Prime weapons, from what I remember, take 12 hours as well.

No gameplay important mod has ever been taken out of circulation. You may mean Primed Mods, which return infrequently and are endgame upgrades to their normal counterparts, or Prime weapons and Warframes being vaulted, which is a crock of shit, but are ultimately not required.

Focus requires 1 lens, a Warframe that will frequently be around XP (Excalibur/Valkyr/Ember/Nova for killers, Ivara/Loki for stealth as a few examples) and you can easily go through a Focus tree, especially if Eximus sorties are up. People sell lens for 5p in trade which is dirt cheap, you can sell literally any 5 Prime parts to somone offering to buy junk and get that. You shelling out $10 for it is your own fault for not even attempting to try to trade for it.

Open Relics and sell the Prime goodies inside (consult warframe.market for prices or just use it outright) to finance potatoes, wait for events/ devstream alert (Gift of the Lotus), and later in the game when you get to Sorties, you have a chance to get one when you finish the missions.

Also, keep an eye on the Invasion tab, you never know if a potato invasion popped up.

I haven't played for a while so correct me if I'm wrong here but:

Decide to get a new warframe.
Farm void for it, this takes about 1-4 days to get the 3 pieces.
Craft the blueprints into real parts, this takes a day of crafting time.
Craft the 3 parts into one frame, this takes 3 days.
Get new frame, popup stating you have no room so buy a character slot please.

Equinox? took the piss since it bloated this even more with double craft wait times.

Formas are a huge pain in the ass too, it takes 24? hours to craft one and you can only craft one at a time. There is no reason for this other than to fuck people into buying them. I had like 30 formas blueprints, which takes 30 days to craft.

One frame can need 1-3 of these things, weapons can be 1-6.

If you're goal orientated this game will fuck you in the ass.

You can end up spending so much money on this game, it's in little amounts so adds up slowly but you can easily go into hundreds or thousands and not realize.

They've changed how you get prime shit completely, it's way more lenient nowdays (every player picks their chosen "key" item with it's own drop table, at the end of the mission every player gets an item from the list he has picked AND they can pick others rewards instead if they get something better)

You can get pre-crafted formas from certain missions if you know how(missions on Lua). With some dedication you can squeeze like 5-a-day from those.
