That's fine. First of all, if this pace continues for 5 or so years that is a consoles lifespan, it's more than fine. So let's say like 75 million consoles (depending on fluctuation and popular titles like pokemon 50 - 100 million units). This has still changes to reach wii level sales.

Nintendo makes most it's profit from 1st party titles anyways, and Nintendo consoles have high 1st party titles sold per console sold so they are making money, no worries here. Also Amiibo profits and other toy/product license profits are astronomical.

Nintendo has a huge amount of cash laying around. They are one of the most secure companies in that regard. They can survive like 3 more failure console launches (if Switch could be considered failures).

Nintendo also is more secure than Sony as they focus on this area. Sonys playstation department is raking in cash, but all their other things are doing shit (movies, music, electronics to count some) in fact Sony is more likely to ko bankrupt before Nintendo. Xbox is fine cause Microsoft.
