I remember one time for some reason my escape pod had drifted like a thousand meters away from the shallows. I had a lot of stuff inside it and only a single battery for my seaglide so I had to use it sparingly. Since swimming at the surface makes you go faster I stayed up there until I reached it.

I was about 8 or so when I Saw this shit. Just floating there in the water watching him surface right under you was horrifying. Even worse was when I finally pulled myself together and grabbed onto him, I held on for too long and he dragged me down farther and farther into the lake, which turns out to be a bottomless abyss where happy dreams and good sleep go to die.

Took me 5 years to beat that game because of that one boss.

I think the most physically affected I have ever been by anything in a game was in RE4, actually. I was running around during one of the Regenerator sections and I was kiting one of them. First time finding a baby screamer zombie in dying light.
Me and a friend were exploring this hotel that had this really creepy vibe with a piano playing and a faint cry of a little girl. Now at this point I didn't know this type of enemy existed and earlier in the game you hear a little girl crying and you find her hiding from her zombified dad. So I'm thinking ok theres a little girl trapped in here better save her. Anyways eventually I get to the area where the crying is and clear out the few zombies while my friend is searching a different area and I slam through the door to see that little zombie girl is covered in blood and surrounded by corpses. She starts screaming at me. It honestly shocked and spooked me for a second before I blasted her away with a shotgun. The moment really stuck with me and made me feel sad.

Killing a few results in you getting chewed out and banished. Especially if you kill 'Lead' characters.

There's a fuckload of endings. There's the Genocide, True Pacifist endings, and then a good 70 or so (slightly different) Neutral variations, and the Soulless Pacifist end.

Some of the Neutrals are fucking dark as shit. If Undyne is left alive and most others are killed, she'll start an uprising and make you her personal target.

If Alphys is the last Lead alive, she laments how weak she is and now everyone looks up to her as Ruler, and she wishes she had the strength to kill you when she had the chance.

I don't know why, but seeing this makes me want to make a game like Analogue or Emily is Away, or the parts of Dot.Hack in between the dungeoning. Like a browser based text adventure. Maybe a dating sim, or playing as a hacker or something and then it turns into a meta horror game part way through. Like how imscared kept playing after you quit the program and how that girl in the one visual novel gets mad if you replay and take a different route and turns all yandere. Doesn't seem too hard to program.

If you rest for a total of 50 in-game years, that happens in Balmora. I did it once but my save was corrupted since then. I haven't had the patience to wait that long again, and from my experiments of setting the timescale super high, it doesn't count if you simply let the time pass; you must rest that amount of time before the return of the Dwemer occurs. Just a neat little easter egg.
