You're right, it has better hardware, but a much much smaller library. Personally, I'd take an original PSP over both of them.

iirc there are actually more vita games than 3ds games, like 1450-1150 or something like that, and there's WAY more genre variety in the vita library.

You can put henkaku on the vita and play all those psp games, more emulators, and you get those psp games with improvements.

You can typically buy a bundle of Vita and a 64GB card on ebay for about 20 bucks more than the Vita by itself. Also, at least a few months ago, the cards went on clearance in most stores. You could get a 32GB card for about 15 dollars.
