People are probably going to disagree, but the lighting looks worse now than it did in 2015. The model looks better, but the lighting looks overly simplified, I think they probably traded off the quality of models and textures for a more simple lighting calculation.

Can't say I disagree with the choice however. Lighting isn't as important in a game like this.

I know, but I have a bit of knowledge of lighting systems and it just looks like they've removed some of the more high-load effects. But like I said I still think it ends up looking better over all. A higher level of detail in the aesthetic is better than just raw graphical power every day of the week.
