Still probably the best example of how to do a remaster/remake. Keeps what's good, adds new content, doesn't lose the atmosphere, and plays with the expectations of those who have already beaten the original. The fake out with the hallway where dogs normally burst through is still such a fantastic moment if you had already played the original. I love when remakes/remasters mess with player expectations and try to change up the formula in small ways that still retains the original content's goal.
