You can press + in the lobby screen where you select your mode to change gear without being sent back to the hub, and even if you did have to go back to the hub, X and then A sends you right back into the lobby, you don't have to walk over.

Though you should still be able to change gear while waiting. You can in league battles.

The reason is because matchmaking takes your weapons into account. The games tries not to pair you with 4 of the same weapon type, because that would end in disaster. They allow you to do it in League because League can only be played with friends.

Change normal gear upgrades through battling to be a choice among three choices instead of the stupid fucking slot machine bullshit they still have. The ability units thing is a step in the right direction, but if you could simply make a limited choice when normally leveling up gear, it wouldn't really be needed. There's really no need to make having a choice such a hard thing to get, when you can simply make the choices available between ones that won't be broken if the creators are that worried about it. Like say, a piece of gear with speed up main would be overpowered if you could get triple speed up subs on it, just make it where when you pick which upgrade you want, the first sub choice has a speed up, while the second and third do not have that choice.

Whats the hate on aerosprays? They seem pretty good.

People feel that its a unfair weapon in turf wars because it can cover the most ground in the shortest span of time. That shit's cool and I'm glad it exists, but the inability to buy the same gear with the default main ability from the shops after the fact seems like an oversight. So the only way to get that ability is to either rely on SplatNet again or hope someone in your square has it.

I'm also cool with Salmon Run not being permanent, but the hours should be more consistent. 2AM to 2PM is a stupid as shit timeslot, unless the hours are global- and even then, why not have each region have their own times?

Same. Back in Splatoon 1, I ran a Aerospray PG setup with speed up build. I could literally start a turf wars match with inking a path all the way to the center before anyone else even gets close, have my team follow it to the center, and then ink the center, get special, and fucking kraken the whole other team before they could even reach the center, causing the whole team to spawn camp them. It was fucking hilarious. Port Mackrel was my fav for a reason.

It takes 30 fucking ability chunks to slot in a third duplicate ability on a piece of gear. Forget about farming for ability chunks, it's probably way more time efficient to just continually scrub a piece of gear clean and roll three duplicates from leveling than to farm 30 of those things.

I think my biggest issues with Splatoon 2 right now is:

>Some of the new maps are annoyingly laid out (Which wouldn't be so bad if we had more map options). I pretty much stay off when Moray Towers are up.

On the plus side, I see most of this stuff being fixed fairly quickly, while others will probably bounce around and be a issue the entire time. I am having fun and I am planning to hit lv 30, but I might take a break outside Splatfests and doing some Salmon Run/Singleplayer for awhile.

As it is now, if you're counterpicked and getting your ass raped then you need to exit and try again - when it would be much more satisfying to change your weapon and get your revenge when on more even footing. What the fuck? It's so hard to make a comeback from just one mistake at the beginning. I felt bad for my opponents, holy fuck. Honestly my first grenade was just lucky, they all jumped pretty much right on it and had to scramble away. I just took a guess, didn't calculate that shit at all. I know I'd feel like shit on the receiving end of that, feeling like just that first mistake pretty much cost the whole game because the tower moves so fast through the checkpoints.

I agree with almost all of this. This is definitely my favorite game that has an extremely large amount of annoying problems that would seem to be obvious. One more to add to the list is the ability to adjust or disable the camera auto centering. It makes it extremely difficult to aim before firing since you have to keep moving your aim to correct for the camera correction. In the first game, the aim for the H3 would even wobble because the time between shots was long enough to try and auto adjust the camera.
