I beat it but now I'm just completely lost, I wanted to try Tonfas but it doesn't seem like a good idea to try and change to them now, and those boss tonfas look really fun with that effect.

They're ok but pretty short. If you liked the base game and just want more of that I'd recommend them but otherwise they aren't must-buys. This new one is an improvement over the first though imo. The new weapon classes they add (Odachi in the first, Tonfa in the second) are fucking ace though, tons of fun. If you're not really into Nioh I'd probably wait for a price drop on the DLCs to be honest.

I'm not on any crazy difficulty but the poison seems to instantly proc. Usually I'd have to use the poison enchant and hope the boss would stand still in the mist to get the effect to stick.

That's kind of disappointing. Onmyo got quite a few new spells. I would've really loved some kind of teleport behind you move to get around the level and ambush dudes.

The patch before the DLC was the best stuff: New omnyo and ninjitsu. The tonfa just seems okay currently.
